How to register as a dentist in Ireland

Registering is not difficult, it is fiddly — several documents from several institutions, each with its own waiting time. EU and EEA qualifications are recognised automatically with no aptitude test. UK qualifications obtained before 31 December 2028 follow the same guidance. Dentists qualified outside the EU and UK either qualify for assessment without examination, or sit the Dental Council Examination for Dentists.
